ARRRRRRRRRGH.

Reagan did not coin the phrase "city on a hill,"  mmkay, Sarah Palin?

It's actually from a book.

A book you might have heard of.

Called "The Bible."

When it was Carter, I found it endearing. When it's her, I just want to smack her.

Oh, I SO agree. I usually think it's because many of those espousing it are online--and I figure they were children while he was President and therefore maybe just think of him as a grandfatherly guy.

Those of us who were adults at the time know he was a smooth talking pawn of Republican power brokers. The irony is that he was no evangelical Christian--he'd never make it in today's Republican party, for all that they worship him.

I was bummed she came out with that one too late for it to make it onto the Palin bingo board. (I got bingo anyway.)

I was so glad I had another viewing party here so that I didn't feel like I was taking crazy pills when I heard her answers!

It also got heavily used by some religious conservatives you might have heard of called Pilgrims. Ringing any bells?
